Water and sanitation are the biggest challenges in rural areas of Pakistan. Around 44% population in Pakistan does not have access to clean drinking water and this figure reaches to 90% in rural areas. According to Pakistan Council of Research in Water Resources (PCRWR), every year around 200,000 children die of diarrheal diseases, let alone. Shortage of Energy is another soar point and in country side, loadshedding of over 20 hours is observed at times.
KIDF Pakistan is implenting community led, community owned and community supported small projects of renewable energy production, provision of clean water, sanitation, health and small communication infrastructure initiatives in rural areas of Pakistan.
