Skill Enhancement

Under its skill development program, KIDF has been working with its partners to develop the skills of marginalized communities in Pakistan. It has successfully trained women and unskilled workers from underdeveloped regions to polish their skills and improve their lives.
Women Vocational Training Program
KIDF has conducted several training programs for the women in partnership with local and international donors in remote northern areas of Pakistan. It has trained women in cloth stitching, embriodery, and needle work by conducting short courses. These courses equip them to learn new skills and use those skills to earn livelihoods for themselves. Over 5000 Women have been trained so far under this program.
Computer Literacy Program
In its computer literacy program, KIDF has conducted short computer courses for the unemployed youth from the tribal areas of Pakistan to make them better prepare for the jobs. The computer courses were also coupled with enhancement of communication and language abilities to help them secure jobs in local market. Karakuram Institute of Modern Languages (KIML) worked in this program and trained over 2000 students and unskilled youth from tribal regions of federally administered tribal areas (FATA) of Pakistan.
